IONA

"Her silken coat lies loosely strung

Her shoulders glossed and white

She sighs a sound of salt and tide

Her voice of naught and night"

- The Selkie Girl

Inspired by Celtic folklore, in particular the legend of the Orkney Selkies, the Iona collection draws on influences of Celtic mythology and the idea of returning to the elements, exploring our endless obsession with the eroticism of wet-look garments.

The piece explores both the physical metamorphosis of the Selkie character, entwined with the mutli-faceted and ever-changing nature of femininity.

Created with recycled silver, freshwater pearls and lead-freecrystals.

IONA PT.2

Inspired by Robert Eggers' iconically haunting film The Lighthouse, we took the Iona set to be captured against the rugged coast of Port Quinn, Cornwall.
