Saint Senara - An ode to women of the sea

Saint Senara's Church in Zennor, Cornwall, is home to the ancient carving of a sea maiden.

The 600-year old depiction illustrates the lasting intrigue of these legendary beings.

Each piece of the Saint Senara collection explores how women can explore a multi-faceted identity,

The Saint Senara collection weaves together the tangible textures of marine forms, simultaneously exploring the representation of femininity through myth and legend in historic literature and artwork

Each piece evolves from a 'second-skin' of invisible tulle, resulting in a garment that becomes an extension of the wearer, accentuating and celebrating her natural self.

The collection features metallic leavers lace, carefully cut into individual motifs, and hand-stitched  onto skins of illusion tulle.

Each piece is then embellished with three-dimensional wired lace structures, interwoven with freshwater Keshi pearls and Aurora Borealis crystals.
